About the Campaign

A refrigerator for Nafadji Coro Medical Center

In countries such as Mali, with little or almost no electrical network in the most rural areas, cold conservation of vaccines and medications becomes very hard.

In 2012 Find The Cure purchased the first solar panel powered fridge for the village of Sagabari. Now we accomplish the request from the Health Centers of Kassaro and Nafadji Choir. About 20,000 people benefit from the two health centers of the Municipality of Kassaro.

Currently the Medical Center is storing vaccines in a gas refrigerator that not only has high temperature maintenance costs, but it does not guarantee the correct storage of medications.

Entire project will cost 5,000€ and includes the purchase of the refrigerator (produced in Germany), the purchase of the solar panel, plus installation and plant.

About Vincenzo and Alessandro

What does a trip represent? How many times have you heard this question, how many times you said it, talking with some friends or simply thinking on the things you love the most. But after all, what it really means to travel?

According to the dictionary, to travel just indicate the action of moving from one place to another by making a journey of a variable duration. So, a concrete action that begins and ends within a defined time. But is that all? Can this be the only meaning of such an important and nuanced word? In our view, certainly not. For us, above all, is is an experience, often unpredictable and never predictable.

Traveling requires care of the details, but also the ability to wing it and adapt to unexpected situations.
A trip is made of sounds, scents, thoughts, places, music, connections, sometimes fleeting sometimes fundamental friendships for our lives. A journey is the fear of the unknown, but also the desire to learn more about life. A journey can be tiresome, but it brings passion and happiness. And, as Sant'Agostino claimed, a journey is knowledge because "the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page".

In a metaphorical sense undertaking a journey can also be considered as the beginning of a project, the will to reach a goal. And this is the central point of our initiative: a project with a goal.

With the help of Find The Cure Italia Onlus, the support of Governo Ombra and, most of all, thanks to everyone who will donate charity kilometres to this fundraising campaign, we want to give a concrete contribution to Kassaro people by the purchase of a refrigerator for vaccines and medications conservation.

Follow us and share this campaign among your friends as much as possible. We will do our best to reach this goal and we'll drop down some lines every day, but we count on the help of all of you to raise all the funds needed.

So no more words, fasten your seat belt and get on board with us, the journey to North Cape is about to begin!
